Dog Walking

Although I can easily be a traditional pet sitter for you, I would prefer to be more.  I want to enrich your pet's life, which means helping them become both physically and emotionally healthier.

Why should you commit to dog walking?

If you have a yard, you can't always expect your dog to create their own exercise routine just because you’ve put them outside. Dogs are social creatures and want another being to be involved in play time.  There are countless benefits for dogs to have regular exercise - here are a few of the top ones:

  • Increased Physical Well Being -  To stay fit and strong, lungs and muscles need to be exercised on a regular basis. Many dogs suffer from health problems simply because they are overweight and out of shape - heart problems, breathing difficulties and joint pain are the most common.
  • Increased Mental Well Being -  Provides an outlet for their energy -  Dogs build up a certain amount of energy every day and if it doesn’t get depleted through walking, it will often result in destructive behavior or separation anxiety.  A good walk can also significantly calm a hyper or energetic dog.
  • Socialization Opportunities - Socialization is one of the keys to helping dogs become well-rounded pets. Through regular exercise with them, you expose them to new settings and experiences, which is crucial for their growth. Dogs who are not walked can become more fearful and shy, or might lack the necessary social skills to interact in unfamiliar settings.
  • Sheer Enjoyment - Your dog is dependent on the humans that love them to take them out and explore the sights, smells, and sounds of the world - the happiness they gain from this can't be measured!
